Iron Goddess is often considered the world's most renowned oolong tea, ranking 3rd in the "Top Ten Famous Teas of China". It is so popular and well-known around the world that it has practically become a synonym for oolong tea as a whole. This is largely thanks to the fact that is grows in the An-xi region of China's Fujian province, which produces a raw tea cultivar that is ideal for oolong tea production. The tea is lightly oxidized through a complicated art of creation to result in the masterpiece we know and love today. As an oolong, Iron Goddess sits closer to a green tea but without the typical grassiness or astringency. When brewed, the inviting buttery aroma is met by a smooth green-tea-like flavor, with a pleasantly sweet aftertaste and a complexity you could only find in an oolong such as this.

Tea Tips

Brew with a water temperature of 190°F (88°C) for (3-5) minutes

Although characteristically similar to green tea, Iron Goddess should be brewed with hotter than usual water for best results (212 Fahrenheit / boiling) . Thanks to the resilience of its leaves, Iron Goddess can stand up to 5-6 steepings while retaining flavor.
